PCEC - Philippine Council of Evangelical Churches: Discipling the Nation for Christ.




	Since 1996, the Christian Education (CE) commission was being represented by the Christian Teachers Network (CTN). But in 2000, PCEC and the CTN officers agreed to adopt the Philippine Association of Christian Education (PACE) as the Councils’ new CE Commission. With PACE, an established institution, now spearheading the Commission, we can expect a stronger networking relationships among Christian educators, teachers and institutions.

	OBJECTIVES 1. To develop a comprehensive plan to encourage Christian teachers to actively participate in winning, building up, training, and sending teachers and students for the cause of Christ. This would be done by mobilizing and equipping Christian teachers to help fulfill the Great Commission, maintaining regular communications with network members, organizing continuing education programs for teachers, stimulating teachers to excel in their profession, and organizing annual Teachers Conferences (including regional meetings). 2. To help map out a systematic approach in developing an alternative educational system for the Philippines, through establishing a network of Christian schools throughout the country and providing expertise and assistance toward the establishment of new schools. 3. To gather interested people and resources together for possible educational ventures.
