PCEC - Philippine Council of Evangelical Churches: Discipling the Nation for Christ.




	With the vision of seeing the Christians in media making a difference for the Lord Jesus Christ by their life and witness, PCEC and Far Eastern Broadcasting Company together with Greenhills Christian Fellowship sponsored a Christians in Media Consultation July 18, 2000. This initial meeting made plain the need for a network among the Christians media practitioners so we can have a more united effort and effective means to impact our society for Christ through the tri-media and other emerging ones like the internet. This on that same occasion the Christian in Media (CIM) network was established.

	VISION To see a united front of Christian media practitioners espousing the Christian voice and presence in the tri-media and thereby, impact our society and help hasten the discipling of the nation for Christ. MISSION 1. To strengthen the local network of Christians in media (TV, radio, print, cyberspace) by supporting and encouraging those already in the industry professionally through conferences, seminars or discussion groups; socially as an advocacy group; spiritually through fellowships, retreats, etc.; and also to encourage other Christians to enter the filed. 2. To model Christian standards of excellence and personal ethic within the profession of mass communications and serve as channels of God’s grace and truth through it. 3. To advocate biblical perspectives on national issues.
