Government
and Church Watch
Let us “pray for those in authority that we may lead a
quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty (1 Tim 2:3)
1. Pray for continued wisdom and protection for Pres. Aquino and
his cabinet and all government agencies that they will be united
in eradicating corruption in the land. (a) Pray for unity as they
work out together what he has promised for the good of the people.
(b) Pray for their salvation and the fear of the Lord to be exercised
in all their meetings and decisions.
2. Pray for wisdom and protection for the Truth Commission headed
by Atty. Laila de Lima to be able to work out all the problem “issues”
in the government and execute the proper procedures to prosecute
those who have abused their positions and squandered the people’s
money.
3. Pray Lev. 19:15 for the Judiciary branch of the government
that they will be given insights on how justice should be served
- “Do not pervert justice; do not show partiality to the poor
or favoritism to the great, but judge your neighbor fairly.”
4. Pray that the program on transparency and accountability be instituted
quickly.
5. Pray for the on going “Purpose -Driven Bible studies”
and Spiritual Value Formation classes in the PNP and Military to
grow and empower them to serve in the fear of the Lord and function
well in their duties and responsibilities in our land.
6. Pray for the church and the citizenry to cooperate and support
the government in implementing laws.
7. Pray for the body of Christ to be united
as salt and light to
our nation that the church
will be active in the community to help
the program of the DENR in cleaning our environment. Pray for the
church ‘s compassion to help the LGU’s in educating
the people for true moral and spiritual recovery in families and
all relationships.
