The Philippine Relief and Development Services (PHILRADS) works hand in hand in the with local churches in holistic ministries for the poor and needy, to enable them to become all God intends them to be. The ministry responds to the emergency needs of disaster, victims, provides assistance fort their rehabilitation, provide assistance fort heir rehabilitation, carries out community development projects, and conducts disaster management seminars for local churches and communities. In 1980, PHILRADS was established to be the relief and development arm of PCEC to actualize our mandate of serving the poor and the needy in the Philippines; through our local churches. Our churches are uniquely placed in their communities as visible expressions of God’s Kingdom here on earth. They are to be the light of this world and salts of the earth. Their ministry should therefore be holistic, that it fulfilling the total needs of man – whether spiritual, social or physical. |
